Heather works with paint, paper, fabric and machine stitching to create images of people and places that are colourful and often witty. Her love of theatre, foreign travel and cycling through Clifton provide her with plenty of subject matter.
She sells from home throughout the year and from Embroiderers’ Guild and Clifton Arts Club exhibitions where several of her works have been voted “People’s Favourite”. She has frequently exhibited at the Royal West of England Academy and had a picture in the Autumn 2017 Open Exhibition. Her main exhibition is at home for the West Bristol Arts Trail every October, in which she has participated since its foundation in 2008. The next West Bristol Arts Trail will be October 13th and 14th 2018.
Currently she has three pictures showing at Clifton Arts Club’s annual open exhibition at The Undercroft, Victoria Methodist Church, 1 Whiteladies Road (next to the RWA). Open Monday – Saturday 11.30am – 6.30pm until August 19th. Sunday 5th and 12th 11am – 5pm; Sunday 19th 11.00am – 1.30pm.
She will be exhibiting at the Bristol Guild, Park Street, September 15th until October 6th. 10am – 5pm.
If you see a picture you like in these website galleries which is marked as SOLD, she can make you something very similar. She can also supply printed cards of any of her pictures. She is also happy to accept commissions, and some recent ones can be seen here.
A selection of her embroidered cards is for sale at Clifton Framing, 110a Whiteladies Road and also at the Southville Community Centre, Beaulieu Road, Southville.
Please email her with any requests.
